Editor in Chief: Prof. Julius Ogengo

Prof Ogengo is the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs, Director Centre for Self Sponsored Programmes and Professor of Human Anatomy University of Nairobi. He is an accomplished researcher and fluent author with over 280 peer reviewed scientific publications. The publications cover vascular anatomy, anatomical variations, cardiovascular pathology, neuropathology and contemporary health issues. 

Associate Editors

1.      Dr. Kevin Ongeti 

Dr.Ongeti is an anatomist, academic researcher and lecturer at the University of Nairobi. He has contributed to research in numerous topics and has over 65 publications. 

2.      Dr. Vincent Kipkorir

Dr.Kipkorir is a dedicated anatomist, researcher, and journal editor with a BSc (Hons) in Human Anatomy and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi. He currently serves as a graduate teaching and research assistant in the Department of Human Anatomy and Physiology. With multiple publications and roles on various editorial boards, Dr. Kipkorir continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of anatomical research and education.

Production Editor: Khulud Nurani

Khulud is an avid researcher, anatomist, and journal editor. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Human Anatomy and is currently completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree at the University of Nairobi. Khulud also serves as a graduate teaching and research assistant in the Department of Human Anatomy and Physiology. Her passion for anatomical research, editorial expertise, and commitment to advancing medical education in Africa reflect her dedication to the field.

Managing Editor: Jimmy Njoroge

Jimmy is the Managing Editor at the Anatomy Journal of Africa. With an extensive background in anatomical sciences (BSc.Anat (Hons.)) and medical research, Jimmy brings a wealth of knowledge and editorial expertise to the journal. His leadership ensures the journal maintains high standards of academic rigor and contributes meaningfully to the advancement of anatomical research across the continent.

Assistant Managing Editor: Merna Estreed

Merna is an anatomist, researcher and journal editor, with a Bsc (Hons) degree in Human Anatomy. She is completing her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree at the University of Nairobi, while serving as a graduate teaching and research assistant at the Department of Human Anatomy and Physiology at the same institution in Kenya. Merna’s attention to detail and dedication to advancing anatomical knowledge makes her an invaluable part of the editorial team.
